On a sunny morning with the ground still wet the sun came out to make it a perfect day for softball at West Park.
With Beavers the home team, and only giving up a single run in the first inning they exploded on offence scoring 18 runs in their first at bat, going through the order twice and nearly a third time. Rubén Gee being the home run hitter along with Lily Chinn hitting some doubles in.
With a large lead the game rolled on with Pulse getting 8 runs back in the fifth inning, Chhaya Jay being the main hitter to keep the Pulse in the game until the sixth, when the 15 runs in front rule came in to effect, ending the game.
The Pulse showed great character by not getting their heads down and putting some runs on the board. The next game will be tougher as this new team gels and starts to get W’s on the board.
