EMSL Players Selected for GB
The Mens world Championships was held in Whitehorse Canada on the 7th to 15th July 2017.
Local players selected are:
Neil Davis – Rebels Baseball and Softball Club – This is Neil’s First World Championship he played catcher for the team.
Josh Peat – Pyros Softball Club – This is Josh’s Second World Championship. Josh is a utility player who plays Outfield, Infield or Pitcher.
Matt Tomlin – Pyros Softball Club – This is Matt’s First World Championship, at 21 he will be the youngest player in the Squad. He played Short Stop and Second Base.
The Junior European Championships are to be held in Prague 24th to 29th July 2017.
Our local players are:
Tom Lang – Brewers Softball Club – This is Tom’s First European Championship. Tom will be playing Infield and Outfield.
Ben Tomlin – Pyros Softball Club – This will be Ben’s Second European Championship. Ben will be playing Catcher or Second Base.
The East Midlands League has a good record of providing players for the National teams but to have five selected is amazing. Well done to everyone.
